Jackie Moran

Director of Music Program/Music Instructor
Instructor and director of the music program, Jackie Moran has been playing Irish music since
he moved to Chicago from Ireland at the age of ten. Jackie has received top awards in Ireland
for his bodhrán (bow-ron: Irish frame drum) playing. Now playing with his newest bands, Comas & Gan Bua,
Jackie is on the cutting edge of the Irish music scene. He has toured with the Trinity Irish Dance
Company and Riverdance, recorded and performed with many talents and musicians all over
the world, and has been featured in movies including Backdraft, Blink, Travelers, and Road to
Perdition starring Tom Hanks and Paul Newman.
